When I was last there it wasn't the hut that was overflowing, it was the sewerage system. Very unpleasant. It was well overdue for a pump out.

Yes, great idea to get you to different places. Facebook has some groups for various huts e.g. Carkeek and Koropuku huts.
We also have a criterion for peak bagging that gets us all over the South ...
Saw some snow out that way when I looked at Easter...Much of it is high attitude so most likely to be snow unless it has washed/melted away! The huts are stocked with coal tho since ...
