Bit of a challenge since we can't go bush. Where is this photo (winner gets to go next).

Bernieq, I recall a reference by Danillo Hegg to the route i described. It was discovered by the Otago University Mountaineering Club some time ago. I wasn't aware of the photos he has between McBride burn and Beansburn. They're great. I'm quite comfortable on ice and glaciers. It's the rock that bothers me more.
Yeah, the 'scary' was mostly the Jaz Morris photo looking down the scree into the upper Beansburn. I remember looking up the burn from the climb up to Fohn Pass, thinking how *vertical* the sides looked - very glacial.

"Sister" Hut which has had the same upgrade 7kms away...
Looks like its not on the tramping radar... it's Chimney Creek Hut in Oteake Conservation Park. "Sister Hut" is Wire Yards.
Anybody can have a go :-)
