Where is this?

Bit of a challenge since we can't go bush. Where is this photo (winner gets to go next). http://qrp.nz/system/images/6/IMG_20200319_172300_original.jpg Hint: the fenceline is the clue

Yep. Thats the place! No sandflies on my visit but lunch at the Mica-Oonah saddle was torture!
It wouldn't open as a photo until I saved it into a link as a .jpg. Took me ages to figure that one out. Thanks Pro-active for your support with this. ![](http://tramper.nz/files/objectversions/28305/smaller%20Campsite%20at%20outlet%20of%20Lake%20Honora.JPG)
derelict bivvy up Mica Burn ![](https://tramper.nz/files/objectversions/28307/smaller%20Derelict%20biv%20at%20Mica%20Burn.JPG) Looks nice and sunny but I see I'm wearing overtrousers. I recall sandflies queuing up to land in our eyes as we downclimbed on our sidle to that lake.
Haha too subtle for me at least, @bernieq Guess it’s your go? @Honora I saw yours and Franks names in the hut book at Telford Hut (where I lit the fire as it was raining, and nearly pickled myself with the smoke). Holy cow, you found the dog box for the hut in the Mica, but where’s the actual hut? 😜
@bernieq. I may be dumb as I still don't get the eels thing! Was it a reference to the hut name or location? Or just a cooking uggestion given the smokey fire!
Virus might be scrambling your brain, madpom, better get tested ! Maori dictionary translates wairaki as lamprey (similar to eel). Comments on smokey fire and food store were mentioned, I referenced all that as well. Hence Upper = top, wairaki = eel, add smokey, foodstore, and you have "smoked eel on the top shelf". Makes perfect sense :) Anyone can post a new photo.
Ok. Got that one wrong. Thought wai-raki was dry river. Though northern river also looks like an option. Not just English that uses one word for multiple things!

Maybe it's easier to pick up lamprey in a dry river so wairaki becomes associated with both, over time Had the same thought, yarmoss - either dog box or Honora is 3+ metres tall!
@Honora did say she was long and thin...
I think that dog box wasn't too far up the Mica Burn. It was a very small and low dog box I recall. I wouldn't have wanted to venture in it let alone spend a night there.
