Bit of a challenge since we can't go bush. Where is this photo (winner gets to go next).

Did you work that out my identification & triangulation ... or just look at my Fiordland traverse and realise I only traversed about 3 peaks?!!!
(only thought of that after posting - will have to choose a pass or valley next time - there were lots of those!)
Correct. Large Burn and the saddle with the Doon in the first pic. Caswell sound in the 2nd pic.

Well, yes, I did start in Fiordland, mainly because of the fiord (but it could have been cloud in a valley), looking along your routes for peaks and greywacke. Missed it on first pass but gave it more attention on return.
The aerial photo has snow on the ground so difficult to identify the rock. Amazing what one can do with the resources available, isn't it?

Looks like water tank in a different spot.
Its a great spot,with the two huts on the same site.Great view of Mt pollux in the photo too
No, not Park Pass. This one was named (I believe) for a European mountain climber.
Further south, geoffnet. In the immediate vicinity are a couple of peaks also named for Everest mountaineers.
All three (glacier and 2 peaks) of the mountaineers died on Everest. The glacier's name was gazetted in 1938, shortly after the mountaineer's body was found - 4 years after death.
