Bit of a challenge since we can't go bush. Where is this photo (winner gets to go next).

C'mon....Charles MANSON... Helter Skelter ...i didn't want to make mention of that too soon because i thought it would make it too easy. I mean it wasn't going to take much for people to get Craigieburn. It's rife with bike trails too.
This is the Edge track just down from Craigieburn valley ski club.
Camp Saddle behind. Generally ascended from Broken Hill side but a scree slide down to this track can make it a circuit with Lyndon Saddle.
So many other photos have too recognisable a feature for many.
Yeah, yeah, I got the link, doh! That's why I new it was correct. After the first guess, and with no confirmation of the area, I figured it must be somewhere else.
Considering I've not been in the region, I reckon it was a good effort! I think I can pinpoint where the photo was taken from - amazing what's available on the net these days.
Anyway, next pic - where am I?

It would indeed - so, I'm in Devilskin Saddle, below the Devils Rampart. It was a knee-wobbling descent from the Sylvia tops into the saddle - I was so knackered I didn't even bother to check out the biv. Next time. :smile:

Name the saddle, the creek I'm headed down into, and for a bonus the hut I'm headed for. It's Saturday lunchtime after a late walk into hut 1 on Friday night, on a 3-night loop.
I'm inclined to Ruahine or Kaweka ranges but, before scouring that region, I'll have a left-field stab at Top Timaru ? (creek, hut and saddle all with the same name)

This picture is looking south.
If you peek carefully, you might see what lay south of the Kingdom of Israel.
Is that last pic looking south? or (a little south of) west?
Cancel that - I was thinking Dismal Saddle but, on closer inspection, the contours on the far ridge (1st pic) don't match.
I'll keep looking.
Yes Bernie. I sold you a pup. You are right that I have my directions wrong by almost 90 degrees.
But wrong on your dismal attempt to guess the location!
The first pic is facing east (or E-N-E)
The third pic is facing west-south-west.
Identifying the hut I'm headed for will let you confirm whether you're in the right area.

Ha - hadn't realised how well my clue also matched up for Dismal Saddle. Good guess!
