Bit of a challenge since we can't go bush. Where is this photo (winner gets to go next).

Lake Hankinson?

Did not take too long at all!
If anyone is interested it is Vern Thompson's boat which was driven in to the lake via the small "river" between the North West Arm of Te Anau and Hankinson. What makes it hard to get in is the river is very shallow and normally impassable so the boat was driven up while the river was in flood then permanently moored there (or something to that effect).
Vern ran a shuttle service across Te Anau then Hankinson to the start of the George Sound track. As far as I am aware he "retired" a few years ago now.
And @Bernieq — I was purposely trying to be misleading by avoiding the word lake!
(And thanks for the help with embedding pics — I may have it sorted by the next time I get a go!)
Lake Hankinson comes to mind. I went there in the late 70s on a school trip. There was 2 boats on the lake but we had to carry outboards over from the jetty on lake teanau.

Hmm. Well, I was going to say Roaring Lion River.
But not sure if the cast a fly is supposed to be a clue (if so I don't get it!) or just a literal observation!
