Bit of a challenge since we can't go bush. Where is this photo (winner gets to go next).

Tararuas ? From Pinnacle Spur, looking to the Twins and Bannister?
And, on the outside chance that's correct, I'd guess that little conical hill in the middle is Logan so you are around the 1080m contour!
Tararuas:
Girdlestone just off to the left in cloud, Adkin, The Three Kings, Broken Axe Pinnacles, McGregor, and Angle Knob on the far right. I'm guessing the photo is from Nichols or thereabouts.
Very close @bernieq. Bannister crossing with Bannister to left and Waingawa to right. Photo not taken from pinnacles but further south. River valley in foreground is clue pointing to location
Aaaah, so photo is zoomed in - you're all the way back to near Tarn Ridge hut?

... and the peak in the middle would be East Peak - very tricky, good one.
I'll have to go looking for a pic - back in 10!
Name the feature in the middle of the picture and from where the picture was taken.

Hint : Mt, Mount, Peak are *not* part of the feature's name. It's over 1900m but not in the wiki list of NZ peaks.
Not Faerie Queene (but, I can see the resemblance too) but it **is** Philosophers Knob ! Taken from our camp at .... ?
