Whats everyone got planned?
I know that we have had this type of thread before but I figure seen as there isnt much happening on this website at the moment I just thought I would ask what everyone is up to, Have ya got anything planned for the weekend or training ya self up for a big tramp during the summer? Just thought I would see what everyones up to, its good to read about other peoples tramping trips plus it also gives ya a few ideas for tramping trips of your own.

Yes, the wind on the tops on Sat was pretty amazing. Lucky I got almost to Te Atuaoparapara on Friday as a day walk from Sunrise Hut. Fantastic views.

looking forward to the Warawara Forest north of Dargaville for easter this year!
1st May I will be doing a 24k trail race [T42] on the 42 Traverse track in the Central Plateau. There's also a 45k MTB and 42k trail run if anyone is interested. [www.T42.co.nz]
Unfortunately i have to now delay my trip to Kahurangi till later in the year.I'm now thinking about going to Iron Gates Hut in a few weeks and doing the Tunupo tops loop down to Heritage Lodge.Probably spend 2 or 3 days,might go to Triangle weather permitting.Still planning a Sawtooth traverse and a farewell tramp to Roaring Stag Lodge for one of my tramping mates who's moving to the States.
Off to do some walks on Rangitoto Island this weekend. Something a little different.
Umak - Waipakihi - Urchin - Weather permitting and before river gets too cold :-}
Just got back from camping on the Lewis Tops tarns .... with an overnight low of -5 degree's!!! (that was a first for me!)
Fantastic views and stunning scenery. The tarns are an ideal camping spot and we had perfect weather which provided us with fantastic photo opportunities.
A freezing but rewarding weekend :D
Beautiful spot up there Lisa. A couple of months ago I headed up onto Trovatore, opposite side of the road. Also good.
Doing the Tongariro Northern Circuit later this week.
