George Saddle via George Stream route

Track. 1 – 2 days. Medium. Return via same track.

Challenging South Marlborough tramp up a large stream. Rock and boulder hopping towards the saddle. More ▶︎

Lake Chalice Hut

Hut. Standard Hut (DOC). Capacity: 8.

South Marlborough Hut near the end of Northbank/Topline/Staircase Roads, with water from a stream, and the lake 5 minutes further. More ▶︎

Mt Stokes

Track. Easy/medium. Return via same track.

Ridge walk to the highest peak in the Marlborough Sounds. In native forest except for the last 20m up and 170m to the summit. Yellowhead conservation area. More ▶︎

Paddy's Pinchgut circuit

Track. Easy. Loop track.

Mt Robert carpark to carpark via Paddy Track, Bushline hut, Relax Shelter and Pinchgut track - 4 hours. 575m up and down. Great lake view from Paddys and views of the area from the top. More ▶︎

Modern 12 bunk hut with heater (not stove), bench seating and two sleeping platforms with a sink and two toilets outside. DOC time 2 hours up from car park, Lake Sylvester is 15 minutes further via poled route. More ▶︎

Mt Royal

Track. 1 day. Easy/medium. Return by the same track.

Park at camp ground, walk Quartz Creek to track start, follow spur up to saddle, then above the tree line to the top. You can continue on to Wakamarina Roadend instead of returning (this track description assumes a return). Views ... More ▶︎

Pelorus Bridge Trig K

Track. Easy. Loop track.

A walk near the popular Pelorus Bridge. You'll walk in mature lush native bush, along the Pelorus River, and get to cool down near the waterfall on the way back. More ▶︎

Asbestos Cottage

Hut. Basic Hut/Bivvy (DOC). Capacity: 4.
