Just can't believe that a whole day has passed without one new post.
Its mostly because with a only a few exceptions its walking weather over here.
When you have a hearing problem brought on by too much loud noise when you where young (described by my wife as selective hearing) those bloody crickets sound like a silent dog whistle to a dog, they hit just the right pitch to drive you crazy.
Bigpaul, I think i have a similar condition. I don't mean a wife. The hearing thing. If there is noise going on i often have trouble concentrating on what is being said. I've not known wether it's just age but the loud noise early in life would account for something. Do you have a name for it? Apart from your wife has anyone diagnosed it?
Industrial deafness i have two choices get a hearing aid and have no excuse for not hearing my wife or improve my lip reading skills which wont help with the wife as she is usually walking the other way when she talks to me.
There's really only one cure for that and you already know what that is.....tramping.
