Just can't believe that a whole day has passed without one new post.

Ahh but those crickets hardly amount to silence for the partially deaf they are a reminder that your hearing hasnt quite gone its been replaced with the ability to hear just a particular headache producing pitch.
In our house it's the wife who is deaf, and yes Aardvark is right, tramping is a great cure for that. When Norm was complaining about the quiet, I was down tramping in the Tararuas.
