cooking with kids

Hi,anyone care to venture a thought on the best stove set up for cooking with three kids and two adults, say on a three day trip.I have used a little whisper lite on my own trips but I doubt it would cope with five people unless we stuck to boiling water only. When I was younger we cooked on trangia stoves and they seem a pretty good bet for safty with kids,is there anything else out there that could be agood option?
Probably gas stoves would be the best bet. Are somewhat safer than white spirit. Though I have to add that white spirit is safe, if used with respect. Perhaps with your trip, take the Whisperlite and another stove that the kids can use but can get experience with the Whisperlite under supervision. I believe that teaching kids to safely do things early is a good practise. Another idea with kids is of course the open fire, in an appropriate place of course. A few sausages on sticks or spuds wrapped in tin foil will go down a treat.
