Note: this track is more technical than many of the smooth tourist trails in the area. Parties should be properly equipped and prepared.
From Lake Wombat car park, take the Douglas Walk to Douglas Bridge. Alternatively, from the Glacier car park, take the Peter's Pool track to the bridge. Over the river, the track continues up valley. It passes the historic Hende's Hut (built as a smithy while constructing Hende's Gallery) and continues over slippery rock.
There is no access to the glacier or valley floor.
