Went back in 2011 to refresh my memories of the place & get a photo of the shelter. Back in the 1960's as a kid with parents, sister and an uncle we walked up via the Callary from Franz Joseph township. These days that section of the track is not maintained & some of the bridges that were on it are gone. The current route crossing the Waiho by swingbridge from the TL carparks is a lot shorter than the old route from the township. |
