Old Woman hut
Old musterer's hut located on the Old Woman Range in the Old Woman Conservation Area. Basic hut in good condition, mattresses and stove. No firewood provided or available nearby. Walking in from Duffers Saddle takes about 1.5 hours. Other walks in the area include the Carrick Race huts (see Mark Pickering's book "Huts".)

Acessed from Nevis Road near Duffers Saddle above Bannockburn along a 4WD track. The road to the Nevis Valley is 2WD in summer but can be 4WD only or closed for extended periods in winter and early spring. |
