Old Woman hut
Old musterers' hut located on the Old Woman Range in the Old Woman Conservation Area. Basic hut in good condition, mattresses and stove. No firewood provided or available nearby - bring your own. Walking in from Duffers Saddle takes about 1.5 hours. Other walks in the area include the Carrick Race huts (see Mark Pickering's book "Huts".)
The Old Woman and Old Man range tracks are open for mountain bikes, horse riders, cross-country skiing, snowmobile and in some cases 4wd. This area, though not a traditional trampers destination, thus gives a great range of possible activities.
