Rodger Inlet Hut
Fiordland National Park, Te Wāhipounamu - South West New Zealand World Heritage Area
There are two huts on Rodger Inlet, the original hut and and A-Frame. Between them they sleep 6. Stream water is available.
The original hut sleeps two and has a fireplace, but is very accessible to sandflies. The new A-frame is more sandfly proof, but has no heating. As such, between then they make for good summer / winter options! The huts are located 30m from the lake shore, and a muddy beach allows swimming / bathing.
The hut is a convenient stopping place on the 3-5 day circuit from the Lake Monowai roadend via Green Lake and Lake Monowai hut. It also provides a base to explore the tops to the west via a well maintained track.
