Challenging Day Hike on the South Island
I am an exchange student at Otago and was hoping to go on a challenging day tramp this weekend. I would love to get into some snow, and maybe bag a peak above 2000 meters. Any suggestions for a medium-hard to hard hike on the south island?
Perhaps 'Dragonfly Pk' near to South Albert Burn Saddle. Thare's a footbridge just upstream of Cameron Flat, bridges near to Junction Flat. You needn't get your feet wet.Haha.
One needs more detail on location, transport, skill level etc to realistically suggest an activity.
