Ideas for a winter trip down South?

Hi all, Have a week to do a trip somewhere in the South island in June, and am looking for ideas. Already done a fair amount of stuff in Arthurs pass, so looking south from there or maybe Lewis pass area. Have some Iceaxe+crampon experience, but would prefer to avoid difficult terrain. Was thinking of perhaps heading in the Mikonui river area to Tuke hut, but from experience the area can be hard going, having been a bit of the way down the Waitaha towards Moonbeam. Thanks!
