Campfire Kiwi Outdoorsman Cops DOC Vendetta

Alan Simmons post on FishnHunt Forum "I attended court today and pleaded not guilty to setting fire to vegetation in the kawekas. The case has been set for Dec, Basically my offense was to sit down beside a campfire lit by another person while I was away from camp for 30 mins or more. He was cold and shivering as all his clothes were wet. DOC know this but are pursuing me because they do not know who he is. In fighting this I find that they advertised in 2015, in many rural papers, a full restricted fire season 365 days a year for all of the central and Southern North Island.. So if you want a campfire beside a river or in the bush you need to apply two weeks before for a permit, show your gps position and demonstrate it will be safe and you may or may not get a permit... Good luck with that... Basically it is now illegal to have a campfire on or nearby state land 365 days of the year. So I will begin the process of defending this..but if they think Im going to dob in my mate ...they can get stuffed... "

The Outdoors Party spammed me with their newsletter a few weeks ago. I'm not sure how I got on their mailing list and there was no obvious way advised for getting off, which just irritates me.
