the series finished last night.
if you havent seen it, i wouldnt rush to watch it on demand, most of the last episode revolved around the death of his wife and daughter and the aftermath...
the earlier episodes on the trip to the antartica was reasonably interesting, and gave an insight into details of what went on with the trip.
For some reason they filmed most of the travel in a white out, possibly because it was shot in a studio or they couldnt work out how to incorporate footage of antarctica in with the studio shots..
although the antarctic episode revolved around the clash of personalities with the leader Fuchs and the politics that went on...
I found the Antarctic episode very interesting. I assume the nuances of the Fuchs/Hillary dynamics were accurately presented although that is rare these days when 'ratings' drive everything we see.
