Thomas range.
Has anyone visited this mountain range in South Westland?
Planning a tramp in that region, starting at Blowfly hut, then along the Mataketake range before dropping down to Thomas Hut.
From there hope to make my way up onto the Thomas range, where I would summit Mount Thomas. Then I plan to follow the range all the way to Rainy top before dropping down to the Moeraki and walking out. The range looks gentle on the topo map so hopefully it is navigable?.
Might also visit Roaring Billy hut if I can fit it in. Although can not see any obvious route which does not involve a lot of backtracking.
So does anyone know wither this route is possible?
