Kaweka conditions

Does anyone know how much snow is on the Kawekas at the moment? I'm heading down there for the long weekend but living in Auckland I don't really know what the conditions down there are like.
Bugger all. Bit of a dusting on the tops today and more forecast tomorrow and Thursday, but no base to speak of.
Thanks Hutchk, that's very reassuring. I saw photos after the storm last week and got a bit concerned.
No worries - it looks like being a fantastic weekend here. If there's no climbing to be had over on Ruapehu I'll probably head up there myself. Will update here if conditions change drastically.

Best time of the year really - snow on the tops, not enough to make travel difficult, and no issues with access. Weather for next 2 days looks awesome.
Much bigger dump on the Ruahines overnight!
Was up on the Ruahine tops on Saturday. Ankle deep snow only. Great conditions.
There wasn't much snow on the northern slopes, but the southern aspects were a bit icy and we were very glad to have our ice axes.

Sorry about the munters, you get that a fair bit in the Kawekas (I camp 90% of the time for that reason - got tired of dreading the thwock thwock thwock of incoming eejits) :-)
