I think Maggie Barry is getting it from DOC's record of revenue, possibly simplistically. In the year ending June 2008 (000): Total Revenue = $294,929 [Crown = $263,950] [Other = $30,979] In the year ending June 2015 (000): Total Revenue = $358,721 [Crown = $314,965] [Other = $43,756] 2014 and 2015 had a big jump, though. Go back a couple of years, and it's (000): Total Revenue 2013 = $335,868 [Crown = $296,534] [Other = $39,334] Total Revenue 2014 = $346,837 [Crown = $309,374] [Other = $37,463] Note that none of these numbers are indexed for inflation. Plug $294,929,000 into the Reserve Bank inflation calculator, for the difference between 2008 and 2015, and it becomes closer to $335m (general index) or $355m (wages index). My guess is that at best the government's kept it roughly parallel with inflation, plus a couple of odd tricks like bringing funding forward from future financial years to handle immediate pest control and the like.
