New tent camp constructed in Golden Bay

Cool - this one is on my list of ones to do. http://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/destinations/nz/79128593/historic-tent-camp-replica-built-at-kahurangi-national-park
Interesting quote from that Stuff newspaper report:- "Support also came in from the likes of Federated Mountain Clubs, Pupu Hydro Society and Tasman District Council, the latter still managing to charge a $600 rip-off permit fee for the fireplace which didn't warrant an inspection." The mind boggles at how the TDC got away with that. Do all fireplaces, even in National Parks, have to have a permit?
