Tramping partners

There is a group of us based around the Rotorua Tramping & Skiing Club, recently joined by Fruitbat from this forum who is in Gisborne who are doing a bit of tramping around the central North Island. We are all a little bit older than you, mostly in our 50s but one knocking 70. You would be most welcome to join us if you like. Especially as I see you are from BC. I have been made so welcome over there I would really love to return the hospitality. Our next trip is to the Waipakahi Valley in the Kaimanawa Ranges on the weekend of 13-14 March. It will be a relatively easy trip and, if the weather is nice, a chance for a swim in the river etc. You would have to get yourself to Taupo or Turangi on the evening of 12 March and we could look after you from there.
