Going with the Flow

For 3 years in a row I travelled to an island off NW Vancouver Island and worked (had fun) for a kayak company. The deal was that when I went back to NZ I had the same amount of money as when I left. Thus they paid my air fares and all living expenses. I actually lived with them in a RV in their back garden and my food was, basically the 'gourmet lunches' and left overs from them, which we provided. A great win/win situation for all concerned. Used to take my mountain bike with me as there was great riding and it gave me transport. Oh - those were the days! Getting quite nostalgic here! One of the biggest attractions was the wild life - never knew what was around the corner. Meanwhile the old wanderlust has vanished and I am content living my old age here in NZ, in particularl Nelson/Golden Bay.

You must be near my brother Brian - he's now living in the same hamlet as Paul Kilgour. He'll be back there from Bali this month. He's a very keen tramper.
