Kaimai 2 night tramp ideas?

I want to do a weekend trip in the Kaimais - I was thinking of going in Friday night to Daly's Clearing Hut from Franklin Rd, taking the track by Waitawheta River then head west to the hut on Premier Creek, then take the track north back to Franklin Rd.
Does anyone have experience with these tracks - what is the going like? And what is the status of the hut marked at 37.32.275 S, 175.45.215E?
You may need to get a more up to date map. The new park map is availible from the DOC office on the Auckland water front. There hasnt been a hut on premier creek for quite a few years. Daly's is a quick hour from franklin road end nice little hut but well visited by non trampers. The Kaimais are better suited to 2 day one night circuits. a good example would be friday night to daly's, saturday Daly's via bluff stream track to Annanui falls and Waitengue Valley (about 3 to 4 hours) then Wiatengue to upper Waitawheta and Waitawheta hut (2 hours) a longish easy walking day. Sunday out down Waitawheta river back to franklin road (3 to 4 hours) Easy.
