Discovery Stream, Sudden Valley
Has anyone done this trip lately ?
We went for a look last weekend and as we headed up the NW branch of the Discovery we were confronted by 2 waterfalls. We managed to scramble up the middle and eventually out to the open valley but it was a bit hairy. I'm thinking we should have stayed on the true left rather than go up the middle. It doesn't mention waterfalls in Nick Groves route description.

When Frank and I descended the NW branch you describe, we left the stream and dropped down to the main Discovery Stream via the true right side of the NW stream. We sidled quite a bit, descending and went down a little side stream which was more of a seepage than a stream. I'll mark a jpg and post it as "Descent route from NW tributary of Discovery Stream".
