Lake Waikeremoana and others

I am a 40ish male teacher from the UK. Here til end of March visiting family and tramping with some experience but wanting to enjoy the scenery too. Planning to do the Waikeremoana tramp some time between 11th and 21st jan if anyone is interested. Also planning to go further afield to the south island - Arthur's Pass, down to Fjordland, Stewart Island, Otago - and would enjoy some company.
I'm thinking of doing this tramp later this week. Did you end up doing it?
