North Island Great Walks Feb-Mar 2015

I'll be in NZ, concentrating on the North Island, from mid-February to the beginning of April and am looking for people who would like to join me on one or two walks in the Manawatu/Whanganui region, e.g.: Whanganui River Journey (5 days) Tongariro Northern Circuit (3 days) Matemateoanga (3 days) And perhaps you have a suggestion yourself about where else we could tramp. I am in a reasonably fit condition, and have done solo tramps up to 10 days at a time. I know that Whanganui trip is a kayak trip, and I have trained extensively in both kayaking and swimming in recent months - it wouldn't be a problem if you are new to kayaking, because we could hire a double touring kayak with a rudder, which is quite a stable vessel, and suited for a combination of more and less experienced operators.
