Kaimai Ranges - February

Hey I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me,
Ive got a week booked off work during feb and was thinking about doing a 3-5 day solo tramp in the kaimais, I havent tramped there before so was after ideas for a nice tramp,
its allgood for me to do 4-6 hours comfortably a day and can either be a circuit or a point to point( The missus will drop me off/pick me up as she is staying at a friends in tauranga ). What sort of terrain etc will I be looking at up there, Have only tramped in ruahines.
Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated,

You want to go to http://www.tramplight.co.nz/ and go to the bottom of the page. They sell an up to date guide book on this area. Also look at some of the tracks descriptions on this site.
Have you got a copy of the new Kaimai parkmap? That will help with your planning.
No they dont sell them down here but I will look at buying that book pmcke suggested aswell as I am going up to tauranga at the beginning of january so will go to the info centre and hopefully they will have that new topo map, if not im sure a book shop will have one. thanks
The Auckland Map Centre has Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Parkmap. $19. Can buy online. Just make sure it's the new one - has a pic on front of 2 people walking along a track and is made of poor quality paper.
The local DOC office down your way will have a copy of the park map printed on water resistant paper (?) better quality than the first map i bought.
