Kiwi Mouth to Rocks Ahead

We are planning a trip into the Kawekas later in the month. Was looking at the map and a route guide and it describes the walk from Kuripapango to Kiwi Mouth Hut up the river as pleasant going. Has anyone here been from Kiwi Mouth upstream to Rocks Ahead? Is this good going? It is marked on the Kaweka Forest Park Map as a route.
pleasant going? from kuripapango to kiwi mouth 40 river crossings in a snow fed river that should be interesting. Rather you than me. In the middle of summer the lowest crossing was knee deep and the deepest chest deep.
