Ruahine West East Crossing

Hi keen on a ruahine crossing either: rangi/whanahuia/te hekenga/tiraha/howletts - tuki out or purity - hikurangi - waterfall hut - waipawa saddle out - anyone done either of these - or keen to accompany - looking for a nice anticyclone (2-3 days of absolute clear weather) so will be a short notice type of trip - feedback appreciated from anyone who may have completed this trip before - regards (August/Sept prefer)

Oops, I just re-read pmcke's post. I guess if you went down Waterfall Creek than it probably *is* navigable.
Doh! Just realised I have made a diabolical error here. In my earlier post I meant Pinnacle Stream, not Waterfall Stream. Sorry to make such a mistake folks. We stayed at Waterfall hut but havn't been anywhere near the stream.
And that area is full of bluffs so please be careful. Sorry once again folks.
