Mount Adams (2014)
I am a landscape photographer in Australia. I am 51, fit, and have done a lots of day hiking and some backpacking in USA snowing mountains. But I have little Alpine mountaineering experience in New Zealand. I will participate in a MEC course in January 2014 in Mt Cook.
I have a plan to do a 3 days backpacking trip to Mount Adams in West Coast to make photographs from the summit of Mt Adams. My plan is to camp somewhere near the summit for 2 nights, so that I have chances to get to the summit to take sunrise and sunset photos.
From Pat Barrett's book "True South", it seems that getting to the summit of Mount Adams is not that easy. I wish I have a companion for this trip.
Is there anyone, who has a similar interest and is experienced in Alpine tramping, likes to do this trip with me?
