Email addresses

As you may know, email addresses are automatically stripped from forum posts. This is primarily to protect you as these can be harvested by spambots. However, I know it can be frustrating.
I could allow email addresses through. What do you think? Another option would be to show them only to logged in members.
Some way of allowing em sounds good. Yelow-pages approach another option. Show a link user has to click on to show the address then deliver through javascript either as text or an image. Stops bots trawling for addresses from spotting it but alows all real users to see it.
I know it would be a lot of work but another option is to email from within the forum. ie an email button that pops up a webmail form to fill in that goes instantly to the member being emailed without any email addresses being revealed. It only works for emailing registered users though.
Thanks for your ideas. Once messaging is back up and running, I will definitely be integrating into the forums as you suggest. Should be here for summer.
