21-25 Oct 2013 : QT or Mt Cook Area

I'm looking for a tramping / low-grade mountaineering partner for this week. I'll be in QT but am planning on heading to Mt Cook. Potential routes are Ball Pass or around Mueller Hut, etc. This will involve ice-axe, crampons, etc. I'm not planning on climbing routes (ie. where a rope is necessary). But I'm flexible. Another alternative is something out of QT (eg. in the Remarkables). I'm 37, Australian, male, friendly. I'll have a car and necessary gear. I'm an experienced alpine hiker and a very novice climber.
