Tramping in Canterbury or Otago over New Year?

Hi, I am a 30 year old NZ girl looking for others who are the similarly aged and keen to go tramping between 30th December 2011 until 2nd January 2012 in the South Island (i.e. 3 nights). I would prefer to go with people who are reasonably fit and ideally another girl (or girls or couples). I have a vehicle so don't mind if it is in the Canterbury or Otago region as I can meet up wherever. I have some ideas for tracks but open to suggestions. If you are keen, let me know.

Hello, I am a 30 years old french man, working in sydney. I ll be travelling to south island from 25/12 to 04/01. I want to go surfing, fishing and hiking. I have rented a 4WD. why not over new year? I don't have any idea about tracks... Cheers, Mathias

Hi there I just saw the post you put up looking for a tramping partner in Christchurch. I am a fit 30yr old lady and would be keen to do some tramping in Canterbury over the next couple of weeks if you are still interested.
