George Sound Nov-Dec11

Hi, I'm thinking of walking the George Sound track and the most recent posting on this website was 2005. Just wondering if anyone has more recent experience on this track and can provide a brief overview of the conditions?
Sounds like a good trip. I have never done it but would like to. From the sounds of it, there is the usual Fiordland rain mud and sandflies plus a long day between huts on the day you cross Henry Pass. There is apparently one place to pitch a tent on the pass. However I think it would be worthwhile planning to camp there and spend a day exploring the tops if the weather is good. I'd give DOC in Te Anau a call to see what it's like. Moirs Guide South will have info as well.
Thanks, much appreciated.
