Tramping in the Milford Area
Hello, My girl and I are going to be spending 14 or so days in the area of Milford sound. I am looking for some possible ideas to branch off of Milford and spend the entire 14 days tramping. I am a new tramper so really looking for a start on how to get this started.
There are lots of opportunities for day tramps off the Milford Rd. Suggestions are.. the Tutuko Valley, Gertrude Saddle, Homer Saddle, Key Summit, down the Hollyford, Lake Marion, Morraine Creek, Mistake Creek, Hut Creek, Dore Pass. Wow, I wish I was you!!
Can also add:
- Cascade / greenstone (through trip of one or loop of both)
- Routeburn
