Winter Tramping

Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a decent 3-4 day tramp that can be completed in winter (mid-June) in the North Island. Due to the experience of some of the party anything above sub-alpine is not an option.
Note: preferably only loop-type tracks.
Have a look at the Whirinaki Forest. It is a great place in winter. All in the bush so you aren't going to come to any harm. The tracks are generally good and the huts are plentiful and good. There are many loop trips of different sizes that can be done. Gary Aldridge at Whirinaki Forest Lodge in Te Whaiti can look after your car and will shuttle you around to the different track points, for a reasonable price, if that is what you require. See http://www.tramper.co.nz/?1451 for more info
Cheers, I'll look into that.
In addition to the tracks listed on that page, if you want something a bit longer, the Central Whirinaki, Upper Whirinaki, Upper Te Hoe, Central Te Hoe, Rogers, Moerangi is a good longer loop which takes 4-5 days
