Abel tasmin and Heaphy tracks in June

A friend and I are planning to walk the Abel Tasmin and the Heaphy in June. Does anyone have any tips for things we shouldn't miss along the way? Where could we store our spare stuff while we're on the tracks? Does transport run to and from the Heaphy in the off season?
Would anyone like to join us?
Hi, We walked the Heaphy in June a couple of years ago, and Nelson lakes Shuttles transfered our car for us. They will also shuttle I`m pretty sure. You can then ask them to store your gear.
We stayed in Gouland downs Hut the first night, Lovely old hut. Dont miss swimming in the river once you get to Heaphy Hut.
