Woodland Waterfall Route
Hi everyone,
I'm from the UK and am in NZ right now for 4-5 weeks. I'm looking for places to walk in the North Island with my girlfriend, we'd really like to find a remote place with a nice waterfall and river where we can chill out, swim around and soak up the atmosphere for a while.
Can anyone recommend something like that? We have a camper van so a place that we could park that not *too* far away would be great.

maybe Kerosene Creek in the Waikato? Its hot spring water too as a bonus
Raglan has the stunning bridal veil falls although it's well visited. Raglan is a great little town though and there's plenty of stuff to do there. Also the King Country has some nice areas around Waitomo.
Also Wairere falls near Matamata http://www.tramper.co.nz/?6496 just posted this yesterday.
Just a warning about Kerosene Creek mentioned above. It is renowned being the haunt of theves. Best to have someone back at the van keeping an eye on things while you swim.
