I know there is a "what have you got planned" thread somewhere, but as many of my planned trips never happen, I have started a new thread.
And on that note: I just visited the new Crosbies Hut in the Coromandel range. A new ten bunker. We were the first there in over a week. We left from the Boom Flats camp ground. Weather windy and wet for the return trip. I would very much recommend this trip. The track is in great order. We took 4 hrs 15 mins to get to the hut and 3 hrs 15 mins to get back.
If fit, you could do the trip up a lot faster. You can book for the hut on the Doc website.
