Abel Tasman as series of day walks
Hi,
I'm going to Abel Tasman over New Years with my parents (in their 60s). We are doing it the lazy way, staying in Motueka and doing a series of day walks then catching the watertaxi back each day.
We would like to do a kayaking trip one day, but if you had 1-2 days there, are there any "bits" or "highlights" of Abel Tasman that you recommend?
Thanks
Serena
It's all great, so you really just need to decide how long a walk you want. Kayaking is easy but I wouldn't try it without a Guide if you want a really good day. Check out Wilsons Abel Tasman website for lots of ideas and choices. Their boat is definately the best way to get in and out of the Park.
Anywhere North of Torrent Bay is the best part of the park!
