Top Hut? has anyone been to top hut?

Has anyone been to top hut? in the raukapuka area up the south ashburton river im after some info on what its like and maybe some pictures if anyones got any?
Also while at boundary creek hut in the week i read on the wall that in 1985 a pair planed to ride from top hut all the way back to road on car tyre tubes im intrested to know how they would have got on or if anyone thinks this would work in the south ashburton river as its got to be a lot faster than walking out :-)
