Tramping in South Island

Hi
I have the next month or two off and am looking to go tramping, pretty open as to where and how long... am experienced and reasonably fit, just maybe not wanting to go solo at this point in the year. Based in Chch.

Hi Mark - The tramping season is just getting under way, if the weather ever settles down! If you don't want to go solo (very sensible) then a tramping club is a good point to start. ChCh has several, the ChCh Tramping Club with a good website

The CTC will no doubt give you details of the other clubs when you contact them, if the CTC trips don't suit.
Baby - the tramping season never stops for me except now as those dang Nor'westers have started up!
Good luck with finding a partner for tramping. If you're experienced and reasonably fit, then club tramping is probably over-rated.
