Vasque Boots

I have a pair of Vasque Bitteroots which have had problems with the soles coming off. Started a few years ago and I have had them repaired several time at the local boot repairer but they never stay on for very long The boots are now 6 years old with plenty of tread left on the sole but I've lost faith in them for anything longer than a two day trip. Have started carrying a roll of tape with me. I did see on an American website that this is a known problem. Has anyone else had any problems?
A lot of boots have problems when 6 years old. The glues are at their design limits by then even without the punishment we give them. I had the sole start to lift on a different Vasque boot at about 3 year but by then the uppers were showing the signs of impending failure as well so they became Asolos. Many good boots on the market and they are cheaper than they once were.

My old Bitteroots held together well. Prefer a wide-fit boot these days.
