Martins Bay Hut is a large modern hut in an amazing location overlooking thye sandbar between Lake McKerrow and the sea. Whilst modern, the extensive use of timer makes this attractive hut that will hopefully age well.

This is the last hut on the great-walk standard Hollyford Track. For those wishing to continue, from here on it's boulder hopping for 4-8 hours along the coastline to Big Bay hut. Watch for fierce seals, which reside on the point about 1km beyond the hut!

Note: This is not the Martin's Bay Lodge shown near the airstip on maps. That is a private lodge used by the Hollyford Track company. The DOC hut is about 2.5km further along the track near the river mouth.
