Mid Taipo hut

Information may be incorrect: you are not viewing the latest version of this page. This version ID 8585 created 14 September 201014 September 2010 by glennjglennj.

An ex NZFS hut that must date from the late 1960's. (In the early 70's it was known as "New Mid Taipo" because there was another hut across the river and slightly upstream. The "Old Hut" has been removed.)

Mid Taipo hut as the name suggests is located in the middle reaches of the Taipo River valley. It is on the TL about 400 metres above Hura Creek. The Julia huts are upstream & the Dillon huts downstream.
